Railway snapshots will receive prizes

A photographic competition which aims to capture the spirit of the Morecambe to Leeds railway line has been launched.

The pictures will be used by the Leeds-Morecambe Community Rail Partnership on their website and in publicity.

Pete Myers, client & stakeholder manager at Northern Rail, who are sponsoring prizes for the competition, said: “It is not about pictures of trains but about people and places along the line.

“There will be a prize winner for each section: they will receive a pass giving free travel across the Northern Rail services for two days of their choice.”

The competition is open to everyone and images should be sent by email to [email protected] by September 30. The pictures will be available to view on Facebook.
