Teen runaway rumbled by staff at Morecambe train station

A teenager trying to run away was intercepted by staff at Morecambe train station.

British Transport Police Lancashire tweeted: “A young-looking teenager in Morecambe was asking for a single to Croydon.

"Not enough money so asks for a single to Birmingham instead.

"A good call from railstaff and we intercepted a child running away from home.

"Safeguarding checks and submissions completed.”
