A man was arrested at Carnforth railway station on New Year’s Day after setting off a burglar alarm.
British Transport Police Lancashire reported that the man was arrested at the station in the early hours of Sunday after a burglar alarm was activated.
Police attended the station where they found the man on the platform, in possession of items taken from the Heritage Centre.
It is believed he had also tried to break into the Refreshment Rooms cafe next door, but failed to gain entry.
