There were nearly 50 people on the call and after the roadmap announcement the meeting was a lot more positive about how and when events can be put on.
The headlines from the meeting were that Lancaster BID can consider putting on smaller events from mid-May and then further in to the year look forward to the bigger events in the diary.
The provisional events planned are:
June 6 Superheroes Day (Family Event)
July 3-4 Indies Weekend

September 19 Festa Italia
October 3 Dino Day
November 8-14 Lancaster’s Food and Drink week
November 28 Christmas Lights Swich On
December 5 Reindeer Day.
There are other ideas for the year but Lancaster BID just wants to commit to those listed at the minute to see how things progress through the coming weeks and months.
They will also look at continued support for Lancaster Music Festival (October 14-17), Light Up Lancaster (November 5-6) and others once confirmed.
A spokesman for Lancaster BID said: “We would urge everyone to support as many events as possible this year as we’ve had a year off, but please be aware there may be issues, things like social distancing could still be in place, possible track and trace, capacity issues, extra security costs- things like this could actually have a negative effect on being able to deliver events in the usual way as costs could go up as income (because of capacity restrictions) could come down.

“Lets just hope everyone works together to make things happen for Lancaster and the district, the encouraging signs are that there was 50 people on the call who all seemed to want that!”
