A man who groomed a 13-year-old girl has admitted attempting to meet her intending to commit a sexual offence against her.

Arthur Douglas, 53, of Barton Mobile Home Park, Westgate, Morecambe, admitted the offence before Preston Crown Court and will be sentenced on August 5.

Douglas was arrested in Morecambe’s Arndale Centre on June 14 and charged with grooming following an online sting by a team of parents known as the Internet Interceptors.
