Kitchen fire prompts call out for firefighters in Heysham

Firefighters were called to Maple Avenue after reports someone may be trapped inside the house.

They extinguished the fire which had started in the kitchen.

A woman was treated by firefighters for smoke inhalation and crews were at the scene for around an hour.

The fire was at 1.02pm on February 28.
