Lancaster man stole cash from cabbie and assaulted him

A taxi driver suffered a sore neck after a passenger snatched a wallet and cash from him, a court has heard.

Sam Cooper, 28 of Water Street, Lancaster, has pleaded guilty to assault and theft after the incident in a taxi on Brindle Mews, Lancaster.

Around £200 was stolen.

Judge Philip Parry adjourned his sentencing to December 2 for a pre sentence report.
