Lancaster man due in court charged with MOT fraud

A man is due to appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court charged with three counts of MOT fraud.

Daniel James R Hayton, 23, of Stanmore Drive, Lancaster is alleged to have issued an MOT certificate without performing the MOT test on February 11, February 25 and March 2 for three different vehicles at Lancaster Honda on Northgate, White Lund.

Mr Hayton is also alleged to have issued a false test certificate for a Subaru Impreza on February 11.

Daniel Hayton will appear before Lancaster Magistrates on Monday, July 18.
