Rory Bremner to help flood victims in Lancaster district

The multi-talented comedian, known for his hilarious impressions, will be joined by an all star line-up for the four-date mini tour ‘Come Hell and High Water’ ending at the Lancaster Grand Theatre.

Bremner will star in and compere the two hour comedic extravaganza, alongside Justin Moorhouse and Fred MacAulay.

The BAFTA -winning star told the Visitor he had been inspired to do something after seeing the devastation caused by the flooding.

He said: “I am really looking forward to coming up but obviously the circumstances, they are very dramatic and tragic in a lot of cases.

“You’ve got a choice you can either do nothing or put on a show, so let’s grab together a bunch of comedians and raise some money. It’s a very British thing but, let’s do our bit.”

He said audiences could expect some of his character favourites from David Cameron, Ed Milliband and Boris Johnson with Louis Walsh in the mix.

Proceeds from the gigs will go to the Cumbria Community Foundation Flood Appeal and the Lancaster concert will go to the ‘Help the North’ flood appeal. The show will be held at the Lancaster Grand Theatre on February 29, starting at 8pm, tickets are £20 and can be booked on 01524 64695.
