TWO generations of North West bands will be celebrated at The Dukes next Monday night (April 4).

Wired In will see Morecambe’s own The Heartbreaks give a live acoustic performance and Q&A, while rarely seen photographs of Manchester legends Joy Division will be on display.

Last month’s Wired In was packed to the rafters thanks to the combination of live music by Morecambe’s Liar Liar and a talk by top photographer Ian Tilton.

And this month, organiser Richard Davis is hoping to keep the momentum going.

“I’m a massive Joy Division fan and The Heartbreaks are on the verge of the big time,” he said.

“They came to the last Wired In and loved it so much they wanted to perform here too.” The event begins at 7pm and the main feature of the evening is a 30 minute film shot by Richard which records The Heartbreaks in locations across Morecambe and Lancaster as they geared up for a UK tour and the release of their new single Jealous, Don’t You Know.”
