Eagles tribute band Talon return to The Platform for a show with a difference next month.
The band, famed for their covers of one of America’s biggest rock bands, will present ‘The Acoustic Collection’ on Thursday, February 5.
Sitting on bar stools and armed with no more than their trademark four-part vocal harmony, acoustic instruments and laid back banter, Talon will perform a selection of their favourite contemporary acoustic classics by James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel, Crosby Stills and Nash, Michael Jackson and many more.
The show coincides with Talon’s new acoustic album which has received five star reviews and includes well-known tracks such as ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Scarborough Fair’, ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Layla’ and ‘Over the Rainbow’.
The band is best known, though, for its stunning interpretation of the music of The Eagles, including the famous vocal harmonies of Don Henley and Glenn Frey, and the twin guitars of Don Felder and Joe Walsh.
The Eagles are famed for a string of hits including ‘Hotel California’, ‘Lyin Eyes’, ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’, ‘Take It To The Limit’ and ‘Take It Easy’.
They will bring their ‘Best of the Eagles’ show back to The Platform later this year, on May 8.
The show starts at 8pm. Tickets cost £16 and are available from the Visitor Information Centres at Lancaster and Morecambe.
