The troupe began life in 2013 as a group of entrepreneurial friends from university with a shared passion for travelling theatre.

They are touring more than 120 venues across the UK with an all-male production of Twelfth Night and an all-female production of Romeo and Juliet.

Both casts consist of only four actors, with the fast-paced multi-rolling that’s therefore required to perform the plays giving The HandleBards their unique brand of comedy.

The boys’ Twelfth Night is on August 1 at 6.30pm and the girls’ Romeo and Juliet is on August 2, again at 6.30pm.

Tickets from handlebards.com or visitor information centres.
