Choirs to perform concert in Carnforth
Eversley mixed voice choir and Dallam school choir will be performing St Matthew Passion by J.S.Bach at a concert being held at Capernwray Hall, Carnforth.
Joining the choirs will be an orchestra, led by Wendy Cann, featuring soloists Stephen Newlove as the Evangelist, Ron Eadington as Jesus and Sarah Jillian Cox as the mezzo soloist.
They will be joined by three young soloists at the start of their careers: Lucy Mellors (soprano), Jacob Clark (tenor) and Charlie Murray (bass) in the magnificent setting of Capernwray Hall, where the choir performed Verdi ‘Requiem’ last year.
The concert is on Sunday, May 13, at 7pm.
