Big public '˜Bonfirer Night' fireworks display returns to Morecambe

A fireworks fiesta will kick off celebrations for Bonfire Night in Morecambe tonight.

For the first time in a long time, there will be a public ‘Guy Fawkes Night’ fireworks display in central Morecambe – taking place at the Dome Arena on Central Promenade from 6pm.

The bonfire will start at 7pm at the former Bubbles site at the Dome and a 14 minute firework display will follow from 8pm at the Stone Jetty.

The event is free and open to all and a family friendly after party will take place at The Carleton on Marine Road West.

The Golden Ball at Snatchems will also host a firework evening on Saturday November 5 from 6pm-9pm. The Lancaster Jacket Potato Tram will be supplying food for the evening.

The bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm and Snatchems will provide a view for the fireworks starting at Lancaster Castle at 8pm.

Carnforth Civic Hall will host their firework family fun event tonight from 10am-11am.

There will be creative crafty fun for all the family with The Creation Station, suitable for children aged one to 11 years. The cost is £5 per child, £3 for siblings.

There will be a fireworks display at Bolton-le-Sands on Saturday November 5 from 5.45pm to 8.30pm. It will take place on the Community Centre Playing Field, Bolton-le-Sands. Tickets £5 available at www.blsbonfireandfireworks.org.uk.
