Lancaster’s very own master of the macabre, A.S. Chambers, is back.

His latest book, Oh Taste And See, is a collection of short horror stories designed to make you both gasp in terror and chuckle with humour.

His latest work covers topics like ‘Do old dentures suffer from jealousy?’ and ‘What lurks behind the faded door at the end of the corridor?’

As well as six stand-alone short stories, there are three tales which cross over into the world of his best-known creation, Sam Spallucci – investigator of the paranormal.

High Moon is a vampire western set in 1800s America and features a stranger wandering into the town of Salem in the middle of the night to purge it of its corrupt sheriff.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is a cautionary tale about answering lonely hearts ads on a whim.

Nightingale is a parallel story to The Case of the Vexed Vampire from his last book, The Casebook of Sam Spallucci, and tells of the events that led up to that case.

A.S. Chambers will be selling and signing copies of Oh Taste And See along with The Casebook of Sam Spallucci at Lancaster Library on Saturday April 26.

The books are available from his book store on Amazon.
