A massive thank you to all those who donated books for my Book Club sale in aid of the hospice.

I have been overwhelmed by your generosity and now have plenty of secondhand books for the Visitor and Lancaster Guardian Save Our Hospice campaign fundraising event.

The sale will take place in Morecambe’s Arndale Centre on Saturday February 8.

Thanks to you and colleagues, I have hundreds of excellent paper and hardback books to sell so please come along on the day and have a look.

I’ve got books from most genres – crime, romance, mystery, thrillers, cookery, children’s and historical to name just some.

And many of the books are in pristine condition so there’ll be plenty of bargains.

My mum, Sandra, and myself will be manning the stall and every penny we make will go to the Save Our Hospice campaign so please support this extremely worthy cause.

St John’s in Lancaster is facing a daunting half million pounds cash shortage and The Visitor and Lancaster Guardian campaign needs to raise that sum and secure its future for generations to come.

Hopefully, my Book Club sale will boost the campaign coffers a little and take us a small step nearer the final total.

I do not require any more books but please feel free to take your secondhand books to any of the St John’s Hospice charity shops, or to the Lancaster hospice itself.
