A werewolf rampaging round Williamson Park?

Lancaster schools full of poltergeists? Ghostly janitors in university halls and vampires that run comic bookshops?

In his latest novel, Lancaster author A.S. Chambers introduces us to the darker, supernatural side of the city.

The Casebook of Sam Spallucci tells the story of a whiskey-drinking, trumpet-playing investigator of the paranormal based in Dalton Square, during his first week on the job.

Expecting to be helping old ladies who think their cats are psychic, he is instead kidnapped by Satanic actors from a suburban sitcom, forced to babysit a newly created vampire and assaulted by demonic imps in a local school gymnasium.

The Casebook of Sam Spallucci is a blend of Film Noir, urban fantasy and a dash of Douglas Adams humour.

Set in the familiar and recognisable location of Lancaster, the reader will never see the city in the same light again.

Former Lancaster University student, A.S. Chambers will be signing copies of his books at Lancaster Library on Saturday September 28 from 10am to 3pm.
