The show itself was action packed top to bottom with a variety of tag team matches, single matches and intergender matches. Not only was there a variety of matches but a great blend of styles, personalities and nationalities with PCW Academy students from three continents on display. Main PCW roster members and also Academy trainers T-Bone & Bubblegum also appeared on the show adding a touch of experience to the blend of raw talent.

PCW Owner Steven Fludder said “It was a year of red tape and the entire year of 2014 was taken up working with Councillor Drew Gale to complete the paperwork and open the facility on what was a shoe string budget. Having to learn how to submit a planning application without paying big money for somebody to do the paperwork for me was a challenge to say the least. January 2015 the PCW Academy opened and it has gone from strength to strength and is a real asset to the city of Preston. I have young people from around the world moving to Preston so they can learn in my facility and that is a massive compliment to the work I have put in. Saturday night I could not have been more proud of my students and they all delivered in a big way. It was also a nice surprise to have Councillors Drew Gale and Martyn Rawlinson in the crowd as they have been such a help to me and I can not wait to see what this year has in store for the PCW Academy.”

The show was a resounding success with fans loving the intimate atmosphere and the talent on display for the first time. The social media traffic during and after the show was immense with various wrestling stars both from the UK and wrestling TV stars from around the world sending public messages of congratulations including one from former WWE star and PCW Champion Chris Masters.

With the next PCW Academy show already announced for the 2nd April 2016, tickets are flying out. The Academy students and trainers will undoubtedly continue to work hard to make sure the next show is a bigger success.
