Mark Thomas trespassing his way to Dukes

Combining his usual mix of theatre, stand up, activism, a dash of journalism and dollop of mayhem, Mark asks the question: “If the ramblers of the 1930s were here now, what would they do to open up the cities? How do we turn the skyscrapers and corporate squares into our playgrounds?”

Mark turns his eye to how governments have sold off the majority of our communal spaces, from playing fields to public rights of way, setting out to try to carve a small space in the urban world where mischief and random chance can lurk.

Mark’s previous solo shows have always proved popular not only at The Dukes but also nationwide, garnering critical acclaim, snapping up awards and earning commissions to become their very own Radio 4 series.

He’s won a Herald Angel award, the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression award, two Scotsman Fringe Firsts and has recently returned from a tour of Australia, New Zealand and New York.

Having stopped arms deals, investigated everything from Coca-Cola to inheritance tax avoidance and been arrested on numerous occasions, there is no way of knowing where Mark will Trespass next.
