Lancaster Grand Theatre will be putting on their very own version of High School Musical on July 7, 8, 9, 15, 16 and 17. During free period, the science lab will see the new student Gabriella Montez (played by Amy-Jo Clough) meet her new fellow students, in particular Taylor Mckessie (played by Busiswa Pele) who becomes her best friend. The Brainiacs, maybe ultra-nerdy, but songstress Gabriella, takes them on a new journey into the world of music.

Amy-Jo said: “Most people know me for singing, but not necessarily musical theatre, although I played Sandy in Grease for Lancaster Amatuer Dramatic Operatic Society, and Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors with About Theatre.

“My voice doesn’t really lend itself to straight musical theatre, but Gabriella is quite poppy, so I am having fun playing, the cute, sweet girl who loves to sing.”
