Lambert gives a contemporary sense to the traditional song because his choices are made with the same vital personal concerns and preoccupations.

For him the content is essential to keep his music vibrant and not being caught in any one rigid style of expression.

He can sing rock music, or children’s songs, or the blues – and all the while representing traditional music as one of its leading figureheads.

In 1976, Yves Lambert was one of the founding members of La Bottine Souriante and for more than 20 years he was a major figure in the band, which was both famous in Quebec, and internationally.

Joining Lambert will be Oliver Rondeau, who has played with several jazz and pop-rock bands. He contributes to the band’s dynamics with his youth and cheerful motivation.

Tommy Gauthier will be accompanying them with his versatility and his natural sense of improvisation which add a great deal to the band.
