Organisers, the Windermere Rotary, say ‘Rock On Windermere’ is central to the celebration that “Cumbria is open for business.”

Big names are joining the bill for the festival, including 10cc, Status Quo, Toploader, Sean Webster and Jagged Edge, and it is due to take place over the weekend of June 17-19.

10cc, who are known for being one of the most influential bands in the history of popular music, join the bill to make Windermere rock this summer, playing on the Sunday June 19.

The band brought audiences smash hits ‘Dreadlock Holiday’, ‘I’m Not In Love’ and ‘The Wall Street Shuffle.’

The weekend kicks off on the Friday with tribute acts for Elvis and Abba.

Saturday sees Status Quo and their power-packed jukebox of classic rock anthems take to the stage, as well as Toploader.
