Young gymnasts bouncing as Georgia shows improvement

THE City of Lancaster Gymnastics and Trampolining Club hosted their Christmas Trampolining Competition at Lancaster and Morecambe College for talented gymnasts across the North West.

Fantastic results were achieved by many of the club’s members:

1 Freya Brooks, Hannah Kelly-Bird, 2 Rosie Chadwick, Georgina Shipperd, Nick Jackson, Isaac Kay-Lavelle, 3 Larissa Hannam.

A number of medals were also won in the synchronised trampolining events:

1 Georgina Shipperd and Nadya Waner, 2 Emma Ford and Jade Eccles, 3 Libby Gray and Georgia Hannam, Callum Baines and Abi Walmsley, Hannah Kelly-Bird and Neve Turner.

The event was sponsored by Wright & Lord Solicitors.

The Wright & Lord cup for Outstanding Improvement was won by Georgia Hannam.

The club also represented Lancaster and Morecambe in the North West Grading Competition in Chorley.

Competitors achieving qualification to the next level were Hannah Brook, Sophie Spurr, Georgia Hannam, Callum Baines, Neve Turner and Nicole Turner.

Special congratulations go to Nick Jackson who qualified to National level and will be representing the club at a National Competition in Hull in March.

The club offers recreational and competitive lessons for trampolinists aged four years upwards at two sites – Lancaster & Morecambe College and the University of Cumbria Sports Complex.
