Morecambe B failed to capitalise on this result and were beaten away 28-7 by Garstang Bandits. Graham Coupe and Tommy Kennedy both took nine points for Bandits closely followed by Owen Bendall with seven.

Adam Ordonez displayed most resistance, winning four crucial points for Morecambe B.

This week also confirmed University A as this season’s Premier league runners-up with a 26-10 win over Trimpell Bulldogs.

Xiao Collins and Mazran Esro for Uni A both claimed nine points followed by Nicole Finn with five. Bulldogs’ best performer was Phil Goymer taking five points followed by Alan Holt’s with four. The Uni A team also beat Garstang Anihilators 27-9 making the prospect of Anihilators avoiding the drop purely mathematical.

With one game remaining both Trimpell City and Morecambe B host Garstang Bandits and with only two points separating these relegation embattled teams.
