The boys team faced county champions from Humber, Nottinghamshire and Bedfordshire. They lost every match 6-2, but Toby won all six of his individual matches, the only player to do so in the competition.

The girls team won 6-2 against the team from Derbyshire and beat the Leicestershire team 8-0, dominating each match 3-0. Against the champions from Cleveland they drew 4-4 but won 17-13 on ‘set count back’.

The Great Wood girls have now qualified for the national finals two years in succession and the school has qualified for the national finals four years in a row.
