Spectacular medal haul for Carnforth Otters in Darwen

Carnforth Otters travelled to Darwen for Preston Swimming Club's annual Summer Spectacular meet.

Tom Adamson had an amazing meet in the nine-year-old age group, entering 10 events and winning six silver medals in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle, 100m and 200m backstroke and 200m breaststroke.

He also picked up a bronze in the 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke alongside a haul of personal best times.

Imogen Sharp brought home silver in the 50m butterfly and bronze in the 200m breaststroke.

McKenzie Ronson-Horrocks won four gold medals in the 50m and 100m butterfly, 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke.

Owain Heathcote-Jones won bronze in the 200m freestyle.

George Wilby and Jack Collett in the 10-year-old age group had good swims while Anya White picked up a couple of PBs.

Rhys Ashton, in the 11-year-old group, won silver medal in the 200m backstroke and bronze in the 50m backstroke.

Ace Bower, Sacha Robb, Ellie Howley and Maia Bishop all achieved PBs.

In the next group up Alice Sands won bronze in the 200m freestyle and Ieuan Blackwell achieved two PBs.

Kiera Richmond won bronze in the 200m breaststroke while Connor White swam well in the 13-year-old age group.

Matthew Crabtree had a great event in the 14-year-old races picking up gold in the 100m freestyle, silver in the 200m and bronze in the 50m.

Alexandra Livingstone secured top-two places in all her eight events, winning gold medals in the 200m individual medley, 100m and 200m backstroke and 100m butterfly.

She also picked up silver in the 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle.

Finally Richard Mead and Elias Giles both swam well in the 15 and over category.
