Senior's strong showing in UAE

The Heysham man finished posted a 13 under par 72-hole total to finish tied for 11th at the Al Hamra Golf Club.

Former Walker Cup star Senior carded rounds of 72, 66, 69 and 68 to continue an upturn in his recent form.

The 28-year-old, who played in this year’s Open Championship at Royal Troon, picked up just over €5,700 for his efforts.

Senior finished seven shots behind winner Jordan Smith who picked up a second Challenge Tour win of the year after a surge on the back nine.

The final round 66 and four-round score of 20 under par also secured him the Road to Oman top spot heading into the season finale, the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final, this week as the top 46 players look to finish in the top 16 and seal a coveted main European Tour card.
