A Lancaster Girls Grammar School pupil has been in action for the England Under 20s rugby side.
Sally Stott, 17, played at number eight in the 25-10 victory against the Army at Aldershot Army Stadium on February 17.
The Slyne teenager’s fine performance in the win has seen her selected to play against France in Bordeaux this Saturday, February 28.
Sally, who began playing rugby at the Vale of Lune for the U7s, progressed through the ranks of the various age groups, later joining an ever-expanding, successful, girls and ladies section at the Vale.
Her talents did not go unnoticed however. She was selected for Lancashire Under 18s and then the North of England Under 18s and invited for trials at national level – a progression that eventually led to Sally to being awarded her England cap.
