The Morecambe keeper was forced off early on in Good Friday’s 1-1 draw at Swindon Town.

Dan Nizic replaced Roche and was set to retain his place for the game against Cambridge United on Easter Monday.

Roche is now set for a race against time if he is to figure on Saturday when the Shrimps travel to Cheltenham Town before next Tuesday’s rearranged home game against Chesterfield.

“Barry tweaked his calf at Swindon,” Bentley admitted on Monday.

“He’s got a chance for the weekend but it looks 50-50 at the moment.

“We all know Dan is a more than capable alternative and, at the moment, we don’t have any other injury worries; everyone would have been fit for Monday.”
