Work has been completed on the Vale of Lune’s new clubhouse.
Glasses were raised when the club’s bid for a £50,000 grant from the National Lottery was successful at the start of the 2014/15 season to replace the roof on their iconic clubhouse and to install energy saving double glazing units across the whole of the frontage.
The project is now finished in plenty of time for the opening friendly against Stoke on Trent on August 23.
The refurbished clubhouse compliments the modern changing rooms which were opened in September 2010 on the adjacent West Terrace.
Many hours of hard work were required to secure the Lottery Grant as part of the Olympic Legacy and Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund, led by president Nigel Armstrong, whose two-year tenure ended in May 2014, and Commercial Manger Allison Freedman.
