Atoms opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Edmondson ran at his man one on one for the first time in the game and powered away.

The next attack from the Atoms saw Cottle make a clean break right down the middle of the park, scoring after rounding the cover.

This devastating period of five minutes was completed when Liam Hall ripped the ball into the heart of the Folly defenders and Cottle picked up to give the Atoms an 18-0 lead.

The Atoms were then reduced to 12 but the pressure was maintained and an excellent penalty wide passing move got Edmondson away into the left corner for his second and the Atoms fourth.

The last action of the half was a coaches dream as a set play from the kick off was executed to perfection. The ball was transferred accuratly to the left wing where Michael Forrest got over the line close to the corner flag.

In the second half the Atoms were undone with two kicks early in the tackle count that resulted in two tries for Folly Lane.

However, Jake Harrison hacked on after a Callum Hall break and Cottle picked up to claim his hat-trick.

Andrew Collins scored a half the field break away try ending under the posts, Edmondson completed his hat-trick with a long range try and Al Crookall scored from an excellent Collins offload. Stand off Stuart Lacey cut inside to add to the Atoms’ score before the last try fittingly went to centre Edmondson.

Billy Livingstone capped a fine display kicking his 10th conversion from 11 attempts in an outstanding victory.
