The Westgate Warrior is ready to pack a punch in 2013.

Isaac Lowe, a talented young featherweight, is undefeated in his two professional bouts.

And like his stablemate at Manchester-based VIP promotions, Bentham’s Tomi Tatham, Lowe has his sights set on a title in the next year.

Coach Bob Howard of Lancaster Boxing Academy said: “2012 ended well with a good performance in his second pro fight and we’re looking forward to this year.

“We want to get as many bouts under his belt as we can and fight for a title in 12 months.”

That second fight was a points victory over Harvey Helmsley at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens in December, a fight that will stand Lowe in good stead according to his coach.

Howard said: “He was boxing a really tough kid and hit him with everything but he wouldn’t go down.

“It was good for him to get four, hard rounds.

“His first one was tough as well but he won pretty quickly.

“The original opponent pulled out the night before and he fought the only person we could get at a few hours notice.

“He wasn’t one you’d really want for your first fight but we wanted to box because he was ready, as he showed.”

Lowe looks set to be kept busy in 2013, with a date for his first fight yet to be confirmed.

Howard said: “2013 will be about getting him more and more experience and getting a decent amount of rounds under his belt.

“He’s been sparring with some really good guys recently to try and get him that experience.

“We just want to get as many bouts as we can. (Promoter) Steve Woods is quite pleased with him and is looking to keep him busy.”
