Morecambe Bay's new American football team to hold inaugural meeting

The Morecambe Bay Storm will elect committee members and adopt the club’s rules and constitution at Salt Ayre Sports Centre on Thursday, March 31.

The club held a ‘Rookie Day’, their first training session, in February and have since seen 50 members attended practice every Thursday and Sunday on the artificial pitch at Salt Ayre.

The Storm, aiming to become the first team in the area for non-university students for 25 years, are working towards entering the 2017 summer adult contact American football league and are still recruiting new players and members who wish to assist in running the club.
