Trimpell City moved up to second place of the Lancaster and Morecambe Table Tennis League Premier Division following their 25-15 win away to Garstang Cowboys.

Dave Smith won man of the match for the visitors with a 100 per cent match record.

Smith had good support from Chris Lancashire and Dan Welbourne combined well to win the doubles against rising stars Owen Bendall and Tommy Kennedy.

Trimpell Bulldogs lost ground when Phil Goymer. Jamie Bradbury and Alan Holt lost 25-11 at home to University A.

Alex Tyson won man of the match with good singles victories and partnered Xiao Collins to win the doubles.

Barbarians are closing in on the Championship title with a convincing 24-13 win at home to University Pythons.

Ken Riley, Mike White and Keith Robertson used their vast experience to good effect against the youthful Pythons.

Morecambe HS had mixed fortunes when they won 28-8 at home to Garstang Eliminators and dropped valuable points to University Pythons.

Matthew Knowles-Cooke and James Rawlinson competed well in the doubles in both matches winning against John Allen and Michael Cooper but losing to Anthony Kun and Paavun Tripati.
