The Lancaster and Morecambe Table Tennis League representative team of Paul Stebbing, Ian Felton and Carl Stebbing secured a 5-4 semi final win over a strong Oldham team on Saturday to progress to the county cup final at Bolton.

Despite home advantage Oldham were second best in the early stages as L&MTTL raced into a 4-1 lead but it came as no surprise when the home team won three sets in quick succession to tie the match at 4-4.

In the final showdown Paul Stebbing was deadlocked at 19-19 in the final game with his opposite number before powering home the final two match winning points.

In the Bay Inter School League Senior Schools Division, the final round of matches Stephen Troughton and Stephen Gosling steered Dallam A to the title.

Ripley A finished runners up with Dan Main and Hernry Moorby in their team.

Ripley B competed well with Elliott Bywater and Matthew Cross securing third place.

In the Primary Schools Division A. Torrisholme A completed the season with a magnificent 100 per cent record.

Will Silverwood and Bradley Wilkinson had to beat off a strong challenge from the Great Wood A team led by Alex Milligan, with Finley Lynch and Naomi Collins contributing to their performance.

In the Primary Schools B Division, Storth finished top of the table with Kyle Duncan and Jamie Yafai in their team.

Second place were Andrew Bebbington and Sam Walsh in the StWilfreds team.
