Morecambe B had to scrap for every point in their Lancaster and Morecambe Table Tennis League Championship Division win over Garstang Cowboys.
Second in the table Abinhav Sinha, Adam Ordenez and Hudson Nuttall were 21-17 winners on home soil.
Sinha won man of the match with three singles victories and partnered Ordenez in winning the doubles against Joe Peat and Will Humphries, which swung the final match result in favour of the Morecambe outfit.
Morecambe C were at home to St Lukes E with Elliott Bywater, Matthew Westworth and Ken Richardson having to battle hard to keep in contact with the visitors who had Ray Forbes dominating proceedings winning the man of the match for a 100 per cent match record.
He also partnered Alan Whittaker in the doubles, losing 20-18 in the third game of the set.
St Lukes eventually won the match 19-18.
Graham Brandwood, Bob Quick and Ian Gee staged a fine recovery away at Garstang playing on top form to take 3-1-5 TT to within one point of victory when losing the match 19-18.
