John McGuinness and his Jackson Racing team were forced to retire at the prestigious 24 Heures Motos in Le Mans at the weekend.

Along with team mates Connor Cummins and Steve Mercer, the Morecambe Missile’s Honda-supported Superstock team were running in third place during the early stages.

However a gear selection issue with their machine brought their 24-hour race to a premature finish.

The team retired just after 6am on Sunday morning when in 21st place.
