Lancaster City go in search of a 10th British Water Polo Championship at the weekend.

The Salt Ayre club take on holders Cheltenham in the semi-finals at the GL1 leisure centre in Gloucester on Saturday.

Bristol Central and Manchester meet in the other last four contest with the final to follow on Sunday.

Lancaster have a daunting task on their hands as Cheltenham look to defend their title having also already won the British Water Polo League in 2016.

Coach Zak Sly will be hoping it’s a good weekend for his two top marksman Tom Curwen and Alex Parsonage, the former having scored 29 goals in phase one of the competition as the city side topped their group with wins over Bristol Central, Great Britain U19s and Invicta.
