Lancaster’s Jack Clarkson and Morecambe’s Thomas Winn helped Lancashire maintain their 100 per cent record in the Daily Telegraph Northern Counties League.
The Red Rose defeated Cumbria 13.6-4.5 at Appleby, winning the foursomes 4-2 before moving up another gear in the singles, losing only one of the 12 ties.
Clarkson put in the most impressive performance of the day, dispatching Darren Whitfield 6&5.
The Lancaster man had earlier teamed up with Wigan’s Reece Cranfield to beat William Postlethwaite and Nick Sowerby by a single hole in the foursomes.
Winn, alongside Warrington’s Paul McFerran, lost his foursomes contest before halving his singles match with Nicky Bell.
