In the Lancaster, Morecambe and District Tsble Tennis League Premier Division, Garstang A took over second place following their narrow 21-18 win at home to St.Luke’s A.
Luke McGrath led the way for Garstang with two victories in the first half of the match.
Jamie Bradbury took the individual honours when he dominated the match for Bulldogs in their away match with Trimpell City.
Bradbury supported with sound performances from Phil Goymer and Alan Holt.
Trimpell Dragons are finding life difficult in the top division, losing 30-0 to the Raptors with Paul Stebbing Ray Carr and Scott Johnston in their team.
In Division Two, Morecambe Community High School came unstuck when they paid a visit the the full strength Cyclones.
Nathan Beamer, Ken Richardson and Millie Corless won the first three sets of the match before Tom Garvey replied for the school team.
Cyclones piled on the pressure with Corless and Richardson winning the doubles 3-1 to clinch the result.
Tom Kennedy won man of the match for Garstang D in their match at home to St.Lukes C.
Eleven years old Kennedy completed the match with a 100% record and combined well with Owen Bendall to win the doubles.
Meanwhile, there was a successful end of term junior tournament held in Morecambe Community High School’s sports hall.
Winners: Group One - Millie Corless, Group Two - Abhinav Sinha, Group Three - Hudson Nuttall and Group Four - Rosie Logue.
