Dave Chisnall has the unenviable task of taking on Michael van Gerwen when the Premier League Darts continues at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on Thursday night.

The reigning World and Premier League champion goes into the game in fine form having won in the opening two rounds of competition and triumphing in the Dutch Darts Masters in Veldhoven at the weekend.

Van Gerwen beat 6-4 Mervyn King in Sunday’s final to lift the trophy and pick up the £20,000 winners’ cheque.

Chisnall had earlier lost to King in the last eight 6-5 having beaten Adrian Lewis in round three.

Morecambe’s world number five goes into the clash with van Gerwen unbeaten in the Premier League having come from 5-1 down to draw 6-6 with Peter Wright last time out in Bournemouth.

Elsewhere in Belfast, Robert Thornton takes on Gary Anderson, Peter Wright battles Phil Taylor, Wes Newton faces Adrian Lewis with Raymond van Barneveld and Simon Whitlock finishing off the night.

The Sky Sports coverage from Belfast begins at 7pm.
