Dave Chisnall endured a mixed weekend at a triple header of events in Barnsley.

On Friday the Morecambe ace missed out on qualifying for the German Darts Masters with a 6-2 defeat to Micky Mansell in the second round at the Metrodome.

The Premier League star bounced back on Saturday in the first Players Championships event, enjoying a fine run to the semi-finals before a 6-2 defeat to eventual winner Gary Anderson.

Chisnall picked up wins over Mark Barilli, Mike Zuydwijk, Lee Palfreyman, Dirk van Duijvenbode and Joe Cullen on the way to the last four.

On Sunday however at the second Players Championship event Chisnall suffered a first round exit, 6-5 to Johnny Haines, in an event won by James Wade.

Chisnall is next in action when the Betway Premier League continues on Thursday at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

The Morecambe man meets Michael van Gerwen in a top of the table clash as he looks to bounce back from a first defeat to Stephen Bunting.
