Dave Chisnall was in action at a triple header of Players Championship events in Coventry at the weekend.

The Morecambe darts ace’s best run of the three tournaments came when he reached the last eight on Sunday before a 6-4 defeat to John Henderson.

Chisnall had earlier picked up wins over Terry Temple, Cristo Reyes, Darren Johnson and Jan Dekker in an event won by Keegan Brown.

On Friday at the Ricoh Arena Chisnall lost 6-3 to eventual winner Michael van Gerwen in round four.

He had set up the clash with world number one after coming through games against David Pallett, Kyle Anderson and Temple in the earlier stages of the competition.

Saturday’s event was a real disappointment for the resort thrower however as he crashed out in the first round with a 6-5 defeat to Lee Palfreyman.

The event was won by Peter Wright as the Players Championship series continued with the sixth, seventh and eighth events.

Chisnall is next in action when the Betway Premier League moves to Newcastle on Thursday night. He faces Stephen Bunting.
