Dave Chisnall had a disappointing weekend in the 2016 Singha Beer Grand Slam of Darts, losing twice in two days at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Chisnall was beaten 5-2 in his Group G opener with James Wilson on Saturday after being punished for missing 18 doubles.

He was back in action on Sunday but was beaten once again, this time at the hands of Jamie Hughes as the Morecambe darts ace went down 5-1 which saw him eliminated from the competition.

*Morecambe Ladies are currently second in the Lancashire Ladies Premier Darts Division, with only one point between them and the top spot team, Bolton.

They are currently three places higher than they were this time last year, as they get ready for the festive season and the fixture turnarounds.

Team spokesperson Joanne Clements said:“The team spirit has never been higher. Our team are so dedicated, they bring themselves out on cold winters nights to travel all over Lancashire, often getting home in the early hours because we love the game and the belief that we can win the division again.

“We could not have done this if it wasn’t for the continued support of our loyal supporters and sponsors.

“We would like to especially thank our generous sponsors Target Darts, Morecambe Cricket Club, Martin Kunze Property Maintenance, R Leisure Hire, Lancaster Lettings and Vantage Skoda for all their help.”
