Lancaster's Durant and Swann into Olympic finals

Both the men’s eight, featuring Scott Durant, and women’s eight, including Polly Swann, stormed to victory in their heats in Rio on Monday.

The men were comfortable victors ahead of the Netherlands and New Zealand while the women paced their race to perfection, coming from behind to see off the challenge of the Kiwis and Canada.

Both crews will now go for gold on Saturday.
