A Morecambe kart racer has picked up his first win having moved up a category.
After a string of third places in a tough first half of the season Thomas Neill won at Three Sisters to top the championship table at Wigan.
Three weeks ago he escaped injury after a crash at the Kart PFI track in Lincolnshire when a kart drove over the top of him at 60mph.
Neill walked away with a few bruises on his back and neck but his kart was seriously damaged.
The youngster returned at Hooton, Cheshire, seven days later but could only manager seventh.
Neill improved at Three Sisters however and managed to set the fastest lap in two of three heats and the final.
