Impressive Onek finishes second in half marathon

Lancaster Race Series held the JWK Half-Marathon last weekend at Lancaster Castle, and there were a good number of Lancaster and Morecambe AC runners taking part.

Winner of the race was Chris Arthur from Bowland Fell Runners, while Lancaster runner William Onek took second place and finished well, smashing his personal best to post a fantastic time of 1h.15.41.

Next for the club, and fifth overall out of almost 450 runners, was Mark Leadbetter with a great run of 1h.17.03.

Katherine Cousins claimed third place in the women’s race with a super run of 1h.28.05, and finished 30th overall.

Other finishers: Michael Roy 1h.29.43, Graeme Brown 1h.35.12, Louise Goddard 1h.38.36, Ade Godard 1h.41.39 and John Riach 1h.51.17.
