Georgia Hannam finished sixth in British Triathlon’s Elite Duathlon at Rockingham motor speedway circuit, Corby, Northampton at the weekend.
The race, which included England talent squad athletes from around the country, consisted of a 2.45km run followed by a 10km bike and then another 1.25km run.
The 15-year-old was well placed in the first run entering the transition in seventh and the Heysham High School pupil stayed with the second pack on the bike.
Another good transition put her in sixth for the final run which she held for a strong finish.
The next race of the elite series will be in London at the end of May.
