Golden performances by impressive triathlon stars

City of Lancaster Triathlon juniors were in action again at the first Northern Modern Triathlon Series Race at  Clitheroe.

There were gold medals for Zara Wilson in the under 11 Girls, Tim Woodman in the under 13 boys and Isabelle Woodman in the under 15 girls.

Sadie Spencer, 14, also picked up gold in the Open Biathlon competition earlier in the day.

Meanwhile at the Mallory Park Draft Legal Sprint Triathlon, 14-year-old Shea Hannam put the North West on the map with a superb win against the best athletes in the UK with a win in Tristar 3 boys.

Hannah Edwards, 14, put in a strong performance to finish in 10th place in  Tristar 3 girls while Ruby Frankland came 14th in Tristar 2 girls, Larissa Hannam completed the event in a very respectable 29th place following a brave bike and run leg after a crash on the bike following the first transition.
