Morecambe will look to upset Sheffield United in the first round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.

Form

Adkins will be looking for an immediate reaction from his side after chastening 4-0 opening day defeat at Gillingham on Saturday. United are expected to be amongst the front-runners in League 1 this season.

History

The sides met back in 2007 in the third round of the competition with Sharp scoring twice in a 5-0 win for The Blades. Morecambe, who had boss Jim Bentley at the heart of their defence, had shocked Wolves and Preston in earlier rounds but were outclassed at Bramall Lane on the night.
